The most prestigious project of the church is the GMM Hospital. It is named after Rev.George Mathan who was the vicar of the parish from 1847-1863.For his long association with the church he was known, as Mallappallilachan.He was perhaps the most learned priest we ever had. He is considered to be the father of Malayalam grammar and Malayalam prose. The Hospital was started in a rented building in 1971.The oratorical prowers inhibited in the homilies of Rev.Mathew Mathew, who was then the vicar, gave the inspiration.Dr.B.Igbal, who later became a famous neurosurgeon and still later the vicar-chancellor of Kerala University was the first doctor. Having constructed a new building near the church, the hospital was shifted in 1973.It flourished when Dr.V.G.Koshy took charge as the Chief Physician.

Now it is a 100 bed hospital having all major departments General Medicine, Surgery, Paediatrics, Gynaecology, ENT etc. A new building is being constructed. We wish we could give healthcare for the poor at affordable cost. With generous donations are hope to finish the construction and develop the institution in to an excellent medical centre.Dr.K.A.Chacko MBBS FACS serves as the chief physician.
